Michael Bennett

Choreographer (1943 - 1987).  Born Michael DiFiglia in Buffalo.  Bennett choreographed ten Broadway shows, including Promises, Promises (1968) and A Chorus Line (1975).  He also conceived the idea for, and co-produced, the latter show, which remains one of the most successful shows in American theatrical history.

Bennett took his adopted name from his alma mater, Bennett High School.
