The Fence II

This is the second time that I comment on the security fence now being constructed by Israel. The first essay on this topic was published here on July 31, 2003. Now I feel the need to call attention to this issue again because it demonstrates better than any other example the depth to which the enemies of the Jewish people will sink.

In 1969, when Golda Meir, then 71 years old, became prime minister of Israel she said: “We will have peace with the Arabs when they will love their children more than they hate us.”

That day has still not come. Therefore we have witnessed the murder of over 800 Jews and the injuries to 5,500 by Arab killers during the past three years and the slaughter of many more before then.

The whole world knows that in 2000 the Egyptian born immigrant to Israel, Yassir Arafat Homeini, self appointed “president” of “Palestine”, was offered much of the old city of Yerushalayim and almost all of Judea and Samaria to become a so-called “Palestinian” state. The offer was made by the then prime minister of Israel, Ehud Barak. The Arabs refused the offer despite the fact that they had screamed for years that they wanted just that land for their “state”. The reason this was refused by them was that they had to agree not to sneak into Israel and indiscriminately murder Jewish children. Further they were asked to agree that Israel had a right to exist in the remainder of the Holy Land. For this reason they also refused.

In short, it was evident then as now that the Arabs don’t really want a Palestinian state. What really interests them is murder. They want to kill Jews and would rather never have an independent so-called “Palestine” than lose cause to slaughter Jews, wherever we may be.

It is for this reason that the Arabs object vehemently to the security fence now being built by Israel. They are supported in this by the vicious representatives of the United Nations, such as Kieran Prendergast, the United Nations under-secretary. This hater has a long history of anti-Jewish incitement both in England and in New York. He evidently follows in the footsteps of Joseph Göbbels, Hitler’s propaganda minister.

The security fence now being built by Israel has been forced upon Israel by the hate spewing Arabs who kill, maim and destroy. Israel calls the structure Gader Hafradeh, which is Hebrew for “separation fence”.

The fence is an electrified chain-link fence. It includes motion detectors and adjacent patrol roads allowing jeeps and even tanks to move up and down the 128 kilometers (80 Miles) along the so called “Green Line” that separates Israel from Judea and Samaria.

Some parts of the fence will be concrete depending on the danger coming from various parts of the Arab-occupied parts of Israel. It is estimated that the fence will eventually be 650 kilometers (403 miles) long and 8 meters, or 25 feet, high.

The haters of course object to anything a Jew does or does not do. Prior to the heroic Jewish victory of 1948 which allowed Israel to gain its independence, the haters shouted that all Jews are cowards who cannot fight. After Israel successfully defended itself in 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973 the haters bellowed that Jews are aggressive. Likewise now, the haters find nothing wrong with the slaughter of innocent Jews. On the contrary. Hate is the only contribution of the Arabs to human society. For example, the official newspaper of the so-called Palestinian Authority or government, Al-Hayad Al-Hadida recently published an anti-Jewish diatribe claiming that corruption is a Jewish trait worldwide and that “the Jews rule the world”, as also claimed by the mad dictator of Malaysia (yemach shemo v’zikro). The Palestinians hatred goes so far that they send their children to fire into Israeli towns and homes. They also send their children into riot zones where the chances of getting killed are great. They also have their children blow themselves to pieces during their homicide bombings and Palestinian mothers, while pregnant, declare they hope the yet-to–be-born child will become a homicide martyr who will kill Jews. Children who die in the effort to kill Jews are celebrated as “martyrs” and their families are rewarded with money and gifts.

Moslems pray to their god, Allah, “Allah show the Jews a black day” and “Allah, annihilate the Jews and their supporters.” In addition, these fanatics also seek the rule of Islam over all the world.

Lest it be thought that these haters are only interested in killing Jews, remember that in Africa the haters have burned down almost all Christian churches; in the Philippines they attack the Catholic majority, in India they burn down Hindu temples and kill Hindus at will and in Iraq the Sunnis kill the Shiites and vice versa.

Therefore, Israel must build a wall to defend itself against murder and slaughter until some day “…….they will love their children more than they hate us.”
