Martin, Zimmerman, & Sharpton

Commentary by Dr. Gerhard Falk

Trayvon Martin

The “civil rights” leader Al Sharpton stood in front of a Jewish owned store in Brooklyn, NY, and screamed, “burn down the Jew store.” This led his followers to do just that. An Afro-American man named Smith entered the store, pulled a gun, spilled paint thinner all over the clothes in Freddie’s Fashion store and threw a match into the merchandise. The store burned and seven Jewish employees were killed.

A few minutes later, a Jewish student, Yankel Rosenbaum, was walking on a Brooklyn street. He was wearing the distinctive clothes of an orthodox Jew, i.e. a black suit and a black skull cap. He also wore a beard and ear locks.

As he walked, he was suddenly accosted by thirty young black men who shouted “get the Jew” and also screamed a number of anti-Jewish epithets.

The crowd surrounded Rosenbaum and beat him. As he fell to the ground, Lemrick Nelson, incited by Al Sharpton’s diatribe, stabbed Yankel Rosenbaum so that he died in the street. Before he died he identified his killer to a detective who had arrived at the scene.

Nelson was tried for murder but the jury, composed in the main of Afro-American citizens, declared Nelson not guilty. That evening the jury gave Nelson a party and declared him a hero. Nelson was thereafter tried for violating Rosenbaum’s civil rights and was convicted but let out of jail soon thereafter. Today Nelson and Sharpton are great heroes in the civil rights movement.

Of course, the Jewish establishment, the friends of Al Sharpton, found no fault with the murder of Rosenbaum any more than any “prominent” Democrats had anything to say about this horror. On the contrary. Jewish “liberals” fraternize with Sharpton. Incitement to murder is normally a felony, as is murder itself. But not when an innocent Jew is slaughtered in the street. In fact, that murder is forgotten, except for the Rosenbaum family who have no “civil rights” because they are only Jews.

Right now all of the media are in an uproar because a white man named Zimmerman shot and killed a black teenager. Zimmerman seeks to invoke the self defense law in Florida even as Sharpton, who was not there, leads a cast of thousands into paroxysms of hate on the grounds that the shooting victim, Trayvon Martin, did not threaten Zimmerman in any manner. This may well be the case. We cannot know because only Zimmerman knows the truth. We do know, however, that Yankel Rosenbaum was murdered because he was a Jew, but that doesn’t concern the “liberals” any more than they care that “Occupy Wall Street” is an anti-Jewish hate gang.

Our question of the day: is there even one Jewish Obama supporter who will stand up for Yankel Rosenbaum?

Shalom u’vracha.
