The Liberal Threat

Liberals

Members of a large segment of the Jewish community consider themselves secularists and followers of Professor Noam Chomsky. There are of course many other Jewish names associated with the “liberal” point of view he espouses. However, it is worthwhile to examine just what the word “liberal” meant at one time and what it means today.

The use of the word “liberal” in political terms was inaugurated by John Locke (1632-1704), who is important in Jewish history because he was the first Christian philosopher to demand equality for Jews in his “Letter of Toleration” of 1689. This was a sensational request as Jews had no defenders in England or elsewhere in the Europe of the time.

Then, in the nineteenth century, the British philosopher John Stuart Mill revived the word to stand for an interest in religious and political freedom, in the rights of minorities to express their opinions and to be treated as equals in the political process.

In this country the word liberal also meant adherence to the principles of American democracy as expressed in the first ten amendments to our Constitution, promising freedom of religion, freedom of the press and speech and the right of the people to peaceably assemble and “petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

When we now take a look at those who claim the label “liberal” in this year, 2004, we find that the word has lost its meaning and, like the Newspeak in George Orwell’s book 1984, a “liberal” is one who believes just the opposite of the meaning once attributed to that word by Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt and so many others, Jewish and non-Jewish, who lived and died for these principles.

Today, a “liberal” is someone who denounces free speech. For example, on the campuses of our colleges and universities, “liberals” regularly appear en masse whenever a speaker is invited with whose views they do not agree. The “liberals” then scream him down so that he cannot speak. This happened to Benyamin Netnayahu and Natan Sharansky only recently. Consider that Sharansky sat in a Soviet prison for years, only to be confronted with the same anti-Jewish hate when speaking here as he met in his native land.

Jews are of course the prime targets of these “liberals”, as seen at San Francisco State College last year when the “liberals” physically attacked Jewish students on the campus and attempted to invade the Hillel Foundation before police prevented further outbursts.

“Liberals” on our campuses regularly seize and burn all campus newspapers which print opinions not to their liking. At Harvard University it is no longer safe for a Jewish student to walk on the campus wearing a kipa even as the faculty excludes Jewish students from some courses.

Liberals are also the friends of the world’s worst dictators. Their favorite is the murderer Yasser Arafat. Remember that the “liberal” Senator Hillary Clinton, elected by a large number of Jews, kissed Mrs. Arafat for saying that “the Jews” poison Palestinian children.

Other friends of the “liberals” are Saddam Hussein, the Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak, who persecutes the Christian minority there (there are no Jews to persecute), and such paragons of “freedom” as Kim Jong Il, the dictator of North Korea. Of course the “liberals” also admire Muammar Khaddafi, the Hitler of Libya.

Our “liberals” regularly curse this country and teach college students to despise the U.S. When it comes to Jews, our “liberals” are in accord with such “democrats” as The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who calls New York City “hymietown”, the Rev. Al Sharpton, who calls Jews “diamond merchants” and led a protest at a Jewish store until it was burned to the ground hours later. Sharpton also led a march through a Jewish neighborhood during which his followers smashed all the Jewish owned store windows in reminiscence of Kristallnacht instigated by the Nazis in 1938. All these are Democrats.

The Democratic Party also includes the California based Spanish Mechista Alliance, which spew anti-Jewish hate all over the internet each week.

“Judaism is a gutter religion,” says the Democrat Louis Farrakhan. This leader of Islam must be placated by the leadership of the “liberal” Democrats if they want to gain the White House.

Among the “liberal” politicians today is also Sen. Robert Byrd of West Virginia, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan.

In addition then to this collection of haters we have a large block of Jewish secularists who seek to elect to the presidency a man who said again and again that Israel should not be supported in its fight for survival and that the terrorists of Hamas are “soldiers”.

It is of course obvious that no Democrat can reach the White House any more without “kow-towing” to this collection of Jew haters and “politically correct” fascists. This has become clear to at least a few Jewish voters who are now ready to vote for the one President who has supported Israel more than any President we have ever had. Yet, large number of Jews are “in bed” with our worst enemies. This self-defeating Jewish attitude will be explained at a later time. It has some interesting socio-psychological roots. Suffice it for now to remember that the word “liberal” has as much meaning today as the phrase “settlement in the east” had among the Nazi killers in 1941. Words are used to deceive. Let us Jews face the fact that “liberalism” is dead in America and that our safety and our freedom now depends on rejecting the old clichés while voting for our lives and those of our children.
